"As a system integrator, we manage logistics automation from A to Z," explains Marco De Groen, head of marketing at TBWB. "We’ve been operating in the Netherlands and Belgium for many years, but we’ve also taken on projects in Germany and even as far as South Africa. Whether it’s a large-scale system or a smaller implementation, we evaluate what’s needed to achieve the client’s goals. From there, we develop a concept, present it to the client, and refine it through collaboration. Our independence ensures that the final solution is always the best fit for the project."
End-to-End Engineering
TBWB handles all aspects of logistics automation in-house, from mechanical and electrical engineering to system control design. "We design the control systems ourselves," De Groen highlights. "Once the design is finalized, we create functional specifications according to the client’s requirements, covering both mechanical and electrical processes. All installations need to operate seamlessly on a single control software platform. For the installation, we rely on trusted partners, overseen by our project managers and an on-site manager who serves as the main point of contact. Meanwhile, our software is integrated with existing systems and customized as necessary. After rigorous testing, the installation is handed over, and our service department, available 24/7, ensures continuity."

A prime example of this is TBWB's partnership with Fabory, a leading supplier of fasteners. "We’ve supported their internal logistics automation for years and have implemented numerous systems in their Tilburg warehouse," Starink shares.
Advanced Automation at Fabory
One of TBWB's recent implementations for Fabory is a pallet transport system integrated with AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) in their nearly fully automated warehouse. "Automated high-bay trucks retrieve pallets from the racks and hand them off to the AGVs, which then place the pallets on the transport system. At the end of the line, the pallets are depalletized by a robot, and the boxes are lifted vertically to connect with Fabory's existing conveyor system," explains Starink. "We also developed a pick-to-light system for Fabory, which is currently showcased in their showroom. The goal is for Fabory’s customers to adopt this concept, ensuring they always have the right products on hand."
